Dr. Wright loves to prescribe Kybella™ for double chin removal. Kybella™ is the only FDA approved non-surgical injectable treatment to remove fat from the double chin. This injectable liquid dissolves fat cells in a matter of weeks.* The procedure only takes around 5 minutes. Your appointment will be 30-45 minutes to allow time for questions and ice.

About Kybella

Ice helps make Kybella™ a very tolerable procedure with little discomfort. It is normal to feel numb for a few weeks following your injection. You will start to see results in as little as two weeks. We usually recommend at least two sessions for optimum results. This is a very customized treatment as everyone has unique anatomy.

Almost all clients with a double chin are appropriate candidates for Kybella™*. Sometimes a double chin is due to lax skin and not fat. Dr. Wright will likely recommend Ultherapy skin tightening in these cases. There are very few contraindications for Kybella™ injections. How soon will I see results of the treatment?

Following the injection, the fat cells are dissolved within 10-15 minutes of injection, however, an inflammatory response is induced that causes swelling and takes 3-4 weeks to subside. Therefore, you will not see your final result for approximately 4 weeks following your injection.*

How long is a Kybella™ treatment?

Kybella™ is an injectable treatment, like Botox and Dysport, so the actual office visit to receive the treatment is fairly short, only about 30-45 minutes.

What is the recovery time after getting Kybella™ injections?

Some patients may experience some bruising following Kybella treatments, which can last about a week. The swelling resulting from the treatment can last a few days to a week, and the full result of the treatment will typically be seen after a month. While you won’t have any physical limitations from the treatment, Dr. Wright advises her patients to hold off on any strenuous exercise or activity that might make the swelling and bruising worse.*

Is Kybella™ Safe?

Kybella™ is very safe. The active ingredient in Kybella™ is something that occurs in the human body naturally, reactions to this treatment are rare. Patients do experience bruising and swelling that are common to an injectable treatment. Learn more about Kybella™.

Love this place! Dr. Wright is awesome, fun to talk to and good at what she does. From the moment you enter Rejuvenate Austin, you feel at home. Everyone is welcoming, caring and friendly. This morning, I had Halo Pro Laser done on my face and neck. Dr Wright explained every step as she was doing the treatment. We had a fun conversation during the process which made it go by quickly. Dr Wright is a very down to earth person.
